Aberdeen Oktoberfest 2017 returns for another year from 5th-8th October at Queens Link in Aberdeen. Dust of those Lederhosen and get the Dirndl dress out because it’s a perfect excuse to celebrate German beer, food and music… Palm Court Hotel can’t wait!
Aberdeen Oktoberfest will be on Queens Link in the middle of the city. Queens Link is transformed into a traditional Oktoberfest with live music and great atmosphere to experience Bavarian culture for a day.
Aberdeen Oktoberfest is much more than beer! Oktoberfest is about getting together with colleagues, clients and friends and enjoying the unbelievable Oktoberfest atmosphere! The German band is ready to entertain you with a wonderful range of songs from traditional Oompa music to great German Schlager. Blue and white colors characterize the tent and the waitresses and waiters are dressed in Dirndl and Lederhosen with the tent filled with long tables.
Oktoberfest has a long tradition which started in Munich 200 years ago. Oktoberfest traditionally starts in the third weekend in September and ends the first Sunday of October. It began with the Royal Wedding on 12 October 1810. Crown Prince Ludwig, later to become King Ludwig I, was married to Princess Therese of Saxony-Hildburghausen on 12 October 1810.
